Miller Thomson LLP has announced the addition of Graham King as a partner in the firm’s corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and securities group in its Toronto office as of Nov. 3.
“We are pleased to welcome Graham to the Firm,” said Jay Hoffman, chair of Miller Thomson’s national business law group, in a news release. “He brings a practical and strategic perspective to complex transactions.”
In its news release, the firm shared that King is a business lawyer who has garnered significant transactional experience across various industries and handled complex domestic and international M&A, divestitures, corporate/commercial matters, and joint ventures.
According to his biography on the firm’s website, his practice areas include corporate governance and private equity.
The firm’s news release noted that King has represented domestic and international companies, investment funds, family offices, and investors running or launching business operations in Canada, as well as advised buyers, vendors, corporate directors and boards, shareholders, and other business stakeholders.
“His experience will help us enhance our offering to clients pursuing growth opportunities across all sectors in Canada and abroad,” Hoffman said.
“Graham strengthens our capabilities for large private and entrepreneurial clients,” added Kenneth Rosenstein, Ontario regional managing partner.
In its news release, the firm stated that King frequently submits to academic journals, print, and electronic media on various corporate, governance, fiduciary, and business law matters.

He was a partner focusing on corporate-commercial law and M&A at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto, where he worked from October 2002 to November 2025. He served as an adjunct professor of law at Western University in London, Ontario, from January 2011 to December 2011.
King worked as a vice president for fixed income at Morgan Meighen & Associates/Hughes, King & Company Limited in Toronto from December 1996 to September 1998, and as part of the corporate and investment banking group at TD Securities, a large investment dealer, from 1994–96.
In its news release, the firm said he has acted as a director and governor of business corporations, not-for-profit entities, and charitable foundations.
King earned his JD from the University of Windsor in 2001, his MSc in economic history from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1994, and his BA from Concordia University in 1992.
