He begins sitting in Milton on December 4
Crown Law Office - Civil deputy director Jeremy Glick has been appointed to the Ontario Superior Court of justice as an associate judge.
Ontario attorney general Doug Downey announced the appointment earlier today. Chief Justice Geoffrey B. Morawetz has assigned Glick to sit in Milton beginning December 4.
Glick was a counsel with the Ministry of the Attorney General in the Crown Law Office – Civil for a dozen years. He oversaw civil litigation files at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
He was lead counsel on many high-profile cases. He acted for the Ontario government and its staff, such as Ontario Provincial Police members and Crown attorneys involved in civil suits.
Glick became vice president – member advocacy of the Association of Law Officers of the Crown in January 2018, according to LinkedIn. He was elected president in 2020, chairing a 19-strong board and serving as an executive and operational leader.
As ALOC president, he also spearheaded collective bargaining and acted for members in systemic and individual workplace matters. He led the organization until 2024.
He was named senior counsel and special advisor to the Assistant Deputy Attorney General of the ministry’s policy division last year, becoming part of the division’s senior management team. He helped with strategic planning and coordination across ministries.
Glick was named Crown Law Office – Civil deputy director in May; in this role, he led 15 litigation counsel. He also logged a stint as counsel at the Ministry of the Environment in Ontario from 2013 to 2014, according to LinkedIn.
He volunteered with and was a board of trustees member of the Ontario Bar Association Foundation. He was called to the bar in 2008.
Glick obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Alberta and a law degree from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law.
