She strengthens WeirFoulds’ wills, trusts and estates group as a new partner
Former Pallett Valo partner Andreea Muth has joined WeirFoulds as a wills, trusts and estates partner, working from Toronto and Oakville.
Muth brings to WeirFoulds her business owner estate planning-focused practice. She has tackled estate, succession, tax, and wealth planning matters on behalf of business owners, entrepreneurs, families, and private clients.
She has worked on issues arising from business succession planning, family trusts, shareholder arrangements, and wealth transfer strategies for family and business assets’ preservation and protection. She has assisted business owners with developing bespoke structures supporting growth, facilitating ownership transitions, and preparing businesses for future generations.
The Lexpert-ranked lawyer has handled corporate restructurings and estate freezes as well. Lexpert included her in its 2026 Special Edition on Canada’s Leading Mergers & Acquisitions Lawyers.
Muth spent over seven years at Pallett Valo, where she made partner in 2024. While there, she tackled matters involving incorporation, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, asset and share purchases and sales, and wealth preservation, according to LinkedIn.
She was once an associate at McMaster, McIntyre & Smyth, LLP. She also logged a stint at Templeman Menninga LLP, where she was an articling student and associate lawyer.
Muth is the public affairs liaison of the Ontario Bar Association’s business law section, of which she was previously chair. As liaison, she consults on legislative reforms, such as changes to Ontario’s Business Corporations Act with regard to transparency register requirements.
Moreover, she is the secretary of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ Toronto branch and a member-at-large of the Ontario Bar Association’s sexual orientation and gender identity community section. She contributes to Ontario Bar Association, the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Tax Foundation programs as a speaker and author on business succession planning, corporate reorganizations, trusts, estates, and governance matters.
Muth taught law and entrepreneurship and business law courses in 2018 and 2019, respectively, at Wilfrid Laurier University. She tackled intellectual property law, advertising and marketing law, commercial financing, and government regulation of competition, as well as contract law, Canadian legal institutions, tort law, business associations, and business transactions.
She was called to the Ontario bar in 2015. She obtained her JD from the Queen’s University School of Law in 2014. She is fluent in English and Romanian.
