She is a class action litigator who spent over a decade at McKenzie Lake
Hammerco Lawyers LLP, based in BC, has announced that it will expand nationally by officially opening a new office in London, Ontario, on Dec. 1, headed by its new partner and experienced class action litigator Sabrina Lombardi.
In a news release, the firm stated that its new office will enhance its class action practice nationwide and further its evolution from a personal injury practice into a BC-headquartered boutique litigation firm.
“This expansion allows us to deepen our national presence and open the door for future growth while broadening our class action practice and continuing to deliver exceptional results for the people, businesses, and communities we serve,” said Morgyn Chandler, managing partner, in the firm’s news release.
Hammerco shared that Lombardi has clocked in almost two decades of experience, successfully conducted a rare common issues trial in the country, and contributed to legal education efforts and conferences across North America and Europe.
Chanèle Rioux-McCormick, associate, and Martha Edwards, law clerk, have joined Hammerco alongside Lombardi. Hammerco noted that these team members have garnered extensive experience and collaborated on complex litigation files.

Upon the new office’s opening, the London team will work together with colleagues across the firm’s Vancouver and Vancouver Island offices to onboard clients.

Established over 25 years ago, Hammerco offers services spanning personal injury matters, sexual assault cases, estate disputes, and commercial litigation.

She joined McKenzie Lake Lawyers LLP in London, Ontario, in January 2014. There, she was a lawyer and a partner. Before that, Lombardi worked as a lawyer at Siskinds LLP from 2005–14.
Since 2006, Lombardi has focused on class actions, multi-party litigation, mass torts, and other complex litigation involving product liability, consumer protection, and social justice issues.
She has prosecuted domestic and multi-jurisdictional class actions concerning the pharmaceutical, medical device, and automotive industries. She has appeared at various court levels across different Canadian jurisdictions and assisted in international cases.
Lombardi earned her LLB from the University of Windsor in 2005 and her BA (honours) in political science and film studies from the University of Western Ontario in 2000.
