The Law Society of Ontario recently debated whether to allow future lawyers to be called quickly through an administrative process, rather than waiting until a ceremony could take place. Some benchers suggested that both an administrative call and attending a later ceremony should be allowed. But allowing one candidate to partake in both a ceremony and administrative call could potentially add more work and expenses at the LSO.
