His experience spans cross-border M&A, private equity, venture financing
Dentons has announced the addition of Myron A. Mallia-Dare – who is experienced in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance, and venture financing – as a partner in the multinational law firm’s corporate group in Toronto.
According to the firm’s news release, in the private equity space, Mallia-Dare helps clients navigate matters across every stage of the investment process, including leveraged buyouts, fund investments, co-investments, distressed acquisitions, and high-value exits.
He has advised local and international private equity sponsors, venture capital funds, strategic investors, and high-growth companies on complex transactions. He has also assisted emerging companies and venture capital funds with financing strategies, early-stage investments, and initial public offerings.
“Myron is a recognized leader in private equity and cross-border M&A whose expertise strengthens our ability to serve clients in technology and other priority sectors,” said Leanne Krawchuk, the corporate group’s national co-leader, in the news release.
Dentons shared that Mallia-Dare has handled deals spanning North America and Europe. He has gained experience in infrastructure, telecommunications, fintech, artificial intelligence, and other sectors.

He has served as an adjunct professor at the University of New Brunswick and taught at Osgoode Professional Development.
Mallia-Dare has sat on multiple boards and advisory committees. He has been an advisory board member of OneEleven and the Association for Corporate Growth’s capital connection committee and co-chair of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association’s committees.
According to his firm bio, he completed the Oxford fintech program at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School in 2019. Before joining the Ontario bar in 2015, he earned his JD in 2014 and his MBA (entrepreneurship) in 2011, both from the University of New Brunswick.
