Torkin Manes LLP has welcomed Brittany Sud as counsel in its private client services group, where she specializes in estates, trusts and related tax matters.
Sud’s practice encompasses advising individuals on developing estate plans that align with both financial objectives and personal goals. Her work includes probate planning, income tax deferral and minimization strategies, disability planning, and philanthropic giving. She advises a client base that includes high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
In the estate administration context, Sud provides guidance to estate trustees on fiduciary duties and responsibilities. Her work also involves preparing probate applications and advising beneficiaries on their entitlements under wills and trusts. The firm indicated that her approach focuses on developing thoughtful, cohesive plans that align with clients’ financial objectives and both short- and long-term personal goals.

In addition to her client work, she is involved in professional education and regularly presents at conferences and seminars organized by STEP, the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.
