Aubrey Kauffman has received an annual award that recognizes Ontario insolvency and restructuring lawyers for their achievements in the profession.

A partner in Fasken’s insolvency and restructuring group is the recipient of the 2019 Ontario Bar Association Murray Klein Award of Excellence in Insolvency Law.

Aubrey Kauffman, a partner in the firm’s Toronto office, was presented the award in a reception held last week. The award recognizes Ontario insolvency and restructuring lawyers for their achievements in the profession.

Kauffman’s practice is focused on advocacy matters related to domestic and cross-border bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring proceedings. He is the director of the Insolvency Institute of Canada, is past chairman of the insolvency section of the OBA and has acted in many high-profile insolvency proceedings. 

In addition to his professional practice, Kaufmann is also an adjunct professor of law at Osgoode Hall Law School.
