The Law Society of Ontario recently debated whether to allow future lawyers to be called quickly through an administrative process, rather than waiting until a ceremony could take place. Some benchers suggested that both an administrative call and attending a later ceremony should be allowed. But allowing one candidate to partake in both a ceremony and administrative call could potentially add more work and expenses at the LSO. If you had the option to pay the cost to do both, would you be called administratively and attend a ceremony?
